Have you ever ran around, scrambling at the last-minute, trying to meet a deadline, and in the process you end up getting so much accomplished in one day? As you take in all you’ve done, a great sense of pride hovers over you. And later you imagine just how much you could accomplish if you were that productive for 30 days.

Simply imagine.

Then challenge yourself and accept it. 30 days of hardcore productivity. Give it your all and see how far you’ll travel.

I’m inspired by the thought.

She’s so fiiiiiine….
I’ve gotta admit I wouldn’t let her ride my face though
I don’t know her like that yo

but…

she’s finer than the ripest fruit
not the average Bentley, she’s the coupe
she’s so fine, after looking at her I needed a minute to regroup
and if beauty was essential, she’d be the truth.

she had it all, minus a few things…
but I asked myself: self, who really has it all anyways, these days?

the games we play

truth of the matter was…

she was the surface and I needed her core
and expecting more than a pretty face, she found unreasonable
I couldn’t even get her to be her self
she remained concealed, like a plastic Barbie on a shelf
she had no elevation, motivation, or even transportation

I complained and she gave me an ultimatum…

she told me leave it or take it
hell, I’ll admit I took it
with all that ass, if I wouldn’t have, I would’ve been stupid
but shortly thereafter, I gave her all that shit back
she was fine, but baby wasn’t all that
+ the trouble she put me through, I knew someone else would have to pay for that

her depth was shallow
she had more lows than high notes
why I even fcuked with her, I still do not know
wait…
yes I do.
she was so fine, it was like eating forbidden fruit
she asked me to show her love
but she couldn’t see through
I apologized, but the connection just wouldn’t produce

I ended it.
put a dot on it, period.

yet, I left so confused…
how was I in the midst of it all surrounded by nothing?

New Leaf.

Every now and then I get this feeling of complacency. I wake up in the morning and I have a strong sense of redundancy. It’s near sickening. I’m halfway into the year and I haven’t completed half the goals I’ve set. Disappointed in myself for not pushing harder, but proud of myself for noticing now as opposed to later. But I’m back to the business. The 82nd legislative and special session have adjourned, so I have more time to focus on personal growth as well as professional. I’m putting all in. I’ve exited twitter stage right and moved on from Facebook, two of my largest social distractions. I plan to blog more frequently, dive into a load of books I’ve been dying to read, indulge in my writings, along with self-reflection, which is absolutely essential. Everyone should partake every once in a while, it’ll help you evaluate the growth and lack thereof in your life.

You can’t start something new, without ending something old. So, out with the old and in with the new. That’s my motivation.

To name a few…

Any one religion or spiritual belief is superior to another.
What births such a thought that makes your ideals any greater than anyone else’?

Only idiots encounter error.
It takes a thinker to recognize error and correct it, only an ignoramus individual will stand by an idea even after they know it to be untrue.

Love is fallible.
One could only believe such because they have never experienced an authentic encounter with love in its purest form.

“It ain’t trickin’ if you got it.” “Make it rain on these hoes.” and other lyrics that proclaim and support senseless splurging on women.
If you uphold such ideas, you should never fix your mouth to call a woman a gold digger. You’re the one who supplied the shovel.

The absence of truth is equivalent to a lie.
You’re not asking the right questions…

Absurd notions. Think before you speak. Be conscious of what you believe.

The smuggled truth comes out when you’re angry.

Think about all the hurtful, yet truthful things you’ve said to people simply because you were angry.

Embellishments are produced when you’re overtly blissful.

Imagine all the things you cook up when a person asks how you’ve been since they’ve last seen you.

In either case, have you ever been surprised about some of the shit that has come out of your mouth upon retrospect?

It makes me wonder… Are we ever really as happy as we portray ourselves to be or do we simply begin to believe the things we say, over time. And are we ever totally honest to the point where our truth matches our emotions, because emotions don’t lie, no matter what the circumstances are.

Something to consider.

There’s some truth in all that you hear. You must know what to listen for. The truth may not lie in the subject matter, it may not lie in the words, but it lies within the character of the person who speaks. Listen closely. They are expressing inadvertent truths about themselves.

Anyone can create a lie, but it takes a clever genius to conceal the truth. Very few are capable.

I wonder if one may ever attain their every desire and need.

It seems as though as soon as we acquire the things we want and need, we move on to wanting and needing something else. So the fact that, that single need and/or want has been fulfilled, yet another desire replaces it makes me question whether or not our wants and needs can ever wholly be brought to a state of completion.

Just a little something to boggle the mind with.
